Going to Lighthouse Golf and Spa resort was something not planned ahead.

We woke up in the morning and we were in the mood of going to the Black Sea Coast. We were lucky enough to find free rooms at Lighthouse hotel and we booked a weekend at this Black sea resort.

We did not know what to expect.

We knew that Bulgaria are one of the best beaches to visit on Black Sea Coast but we did not know many about the resort.  

As the title suggested Lighthouse Golf & Spa hotel we imagined that the hotel is located somewhere high on the cliffs and there is a golf course where you can play your favourite sport.

Location

Lighthouse Golf and Spa resort is located near Cape Kaliakra just 10 minutes drive from Balchik in beautiful scenery with green land and white stiff coast.

The resort is nestled on top of a cliff overlooking the Black Sea.

The hotel is accessible by car, being located right near the main road that binds the Bulgarian beaches.

Varna is the nearest airport from the area, at 40 km away.

Lighthouse Golf & Spa resort together with Thracian Cliffs Golf & Beach resort and BlackSeaRama Golf & Villas form the triangle of Black sea golf courses.

Rooms

Lighthouse Golf and Spa resort has private villas and also rooms and suites in a hotel.

Part of the Lighthouse hotel rooms are facing the sea and other the golf course.

We chose to stay in a room facing the sea and the view was incredible.

The rooms from the resort are big, clean and nice design.

The quality of the bed was OK and the pillows and mattresses were in good shape.

Our room had a big balcony from where we could see the sunset while sipping from a glass of wine.

The bath is also big and clean with good quality amenities.

What I liked the most was the view from our room!

The way how the sun shines over the sea was incredible! What a unique feeling!

Facilities

A nice pool with sun chairs around just near your room is exactly what you need when you go to the Black Sea Coast.

Although it is located on the Black Sea, the beach is very far from the hotel.

You can reach the beach just by car and it took you about 5 minutes to arrive.

Lighthouse Golf and Spa resort has also an interior pool, a Spa area with saunas, Jacuzzis, steam bath, Turkish bath, relaxation area, massage rooms….I don’t know…you name it and I am sure you will find it there!

As most of the five stars Bulgaria hotel have, Lighthouse resort has three restaurants, few bars, a beach bar, entertainment activities and sports facilities.

Like I told you! You can find there anything you need! Just ask for!

Regarding the services and the employees… well… they do their best to fulfill your wishes but sometimes this is not enough! Maybe some more training would be needed!

Breakfast

The breakfast was varied and there were plenty of options, but the quality of the food was average. Most of the food from breakfast was tasteless or of medium to low quality.

For a five star hotel, I was expecting something better.

Now, don’t get me wrong! You have what to eat at Lighthouse Golf and Spa resort but do not expect 5-star hotel menu!

I would say from the food perspective that it should be a 3 maybe 4 stars Bulgaria hotel.
