17 best Houston Beaches you’ll love to visit

Best Houston Beaches are located at least 30 minutes drive from the city.

The city of Houston does not have any beaches, but the good news is that the coastline is pretty close to it.

Some of these beaches are wilder, just some empty stretches of sand, while others come with all amenities for you.

Popular places like East Beach or Seawall Beach on Galveston Island allow you to enjoy the beauty of the sea and offer incredible places to perfect your tan.

Here you will easily find cabanas, beach chairs, and umbrellas, while restrooms and restaurants are within walking distance.

We also have picked beautiful beaches for those looking for quieter places, less populated strips of sand packed with nature.

Most of these don’t have restrooms or restaurants nearby, but exactly these things attract visitors.

So, this list comprises beaches suitable for everybody, all located less than 90 minutes drive from Houston.
