Our air conditioner seemed to have a hard time keeping up to cool the room. When we needed anything, it was taken care of very quickly. The stay was very relaxing and enjoyable. We were able to walk to eat, play at the beach, or just enjoy the sea wall.

First off, the location is great. You are right on the water and three of Galveston’s best restaurants are a two-minute walk away. You can open the room’s window and smell the ocean air and hear the gulls squawk.

There’s a large parking lot right next to the hotel. The fascinating off-shore oil rig museum is right next door. The shops and restaurants of the Strand are a short walk away. The harbor tours are right there.

The check-in was quick and friendly.

Our room was large and modern. The hotel was clean. The bathroom was spacious with new towels and nice amenities. The bed was comfortable. Wi-fi was efficient.

There’s no pool, but guests are allowed to use the pool at the Hilton Hotel on the Seawall.

You get a free dessert when you eat at at Willie G’s, the restaurant right next door.
