Burgers Lake is the perfect destination for those of you looking to cool off and have fun on a hot day in summer.
The lake appeared around 1950 and rapidly increased in popularity because of its beautiful landscape and vicinity to Dallas.
This swimming hole is not open all year round. It is open just during the summer season, from June to September.

This amazing man-made pool fed by a spring is far less popular than Hamilton Pool or Jabob’s Well but it is equally beautiful.

Burger’s Lake reviews from visitors
Stacy from Texas
I went to Burger Lake as a teen and haven’t been in years. We went yesterday with two young girls, 5 and 2. Everyone had a absolute blast!!!
The Sandy beaches were a big hit as was watching people fly off the swing. It was busy but we easily found parking and a picnic table. We never felt crowded and there is so much room to spread out.
Facilities
This spring fed lake, located so close to Dallas, offers everything you need for a day in nature with your friends and family.
The 30 acres park offers a wide range of water sports activities and many outdoor activities near the lake.
There are tennis courts and volleyball courts in the vicinity of the water, as well as picnic tables and grills.
In the area, there are 6 diving boards, a 20-foot water slide, and a plethora of other exciting water activities.
You can bring your inner tube if you are in the mood to float along the river, or you can rent it from the park.

On-site, there is also a 25-foot trapeze swing to jump into the water if you need extra adrenaline.
Being a man-made pool you don’t have to worry about the large rocks from the button of the lake so you can jump without worries!
Lifeguards on duty are available on the property to keep an eye on you while you play in the water.
After bathing and playing, there is nothing more relaxing than the lay on a sandy beach to perfect your tan or hide under the trees for shade.

In the 30-acre park, there are two sand beaches where you can put your chair or towel and enjoy the Texan sun.
The park is very child friendly, with plenty of kid-friendly activities, shallow swim areas, and toddler slides.
Inside the park, along the lake, there are also more than 300 picnic tables and almost 200 charcoal grills, so don’t forget to bring your favorite meat.

Add the 6 diving boards to all these amenities, including one for baby and the huge inner tubes, and you will get a day to remember not far from Dallas.
