Burgers Lake Fort Worth TX, fun and sun near Dallas

Burgers Lake is the perfect destination for those of you looking to cool off and have fun on a hot day in summer.

The lake appeared around 1950 and rapidly increased in popularity because of its beautiful landscape and vicinity to Dallas.

This swimming hole is not open all year round. It is open just during the summer season, from June to September. Find below the Calendar for 2024 and see when it’s open

It is one of the most beautiful places to spend a day in nature with your family, without driving for hours.

Soaking at Burger’s Lake

This amazing man-made pool fed by spring is far less popular than Hamilton Pool or Jabob’s Well but it is equally beautiful. So, if you are looking for a beautiful place to relax and soak, head to one of Dallas’s hidden gems.

I personally like this lake very much, not just because of its location, in the proximity of Dallas, but also because what it has to offer to its visitors.

I remember that the first time I dipped my toes into Burgers Lake, I was taken aback by the refreshing coolness of its waters.

It was a hot Texan summer day, and the lake was the perfect sanctuary!

Burger’s Lake reviews from visitors

When visiting such fantastic places, I always like to make new friends.

Chatting with a family during one of my visits, a mother mentioned how Burgers Lake had become their annual summer tradition.

Another young couple spoke about their first date here, making it evident that this place holds special memories for many.

Stacy from Texas

I went to Burger Lake as a teen and haven’t been in years. We went yesterday with two young girls, 5 and 2. Everyone had a absolute blast!!!

The Sandy beaches were a big hit as was watching people fly off the swing. It was busy but we easily found parking and a picnic table. We never felt crowded and there is so much room to spread out.

Facilities

This saltwater spring-fed lake, located so close to Dallas, offers everything you need for a day in nature with your friends and family.

The 30 acres park offers a wide range of water sports activities and many outdoor activities near the lake for the whole family.

There are tennis courts and volleyball courts in the vicinity of the water, as well as picnic tables and grills.

In the area, there are 6 diving boards, a 20-foot slide, and a plethora of other exciting water activities.

There are two types of slides, a small one and the larger white, red and blue slides. To go to the blue slides, kids must know how to swim.

You can bring your inner tube if you are in the mood to float along the river, or you can rent it from the park.

You can bring water toys and floats to the shallow areas, especially if you’re visiting with your family with kids.

On this body of water, there is also a 25-foot trapeze swing to jump into the water if you need extra adrenaline.

Safety features

Being a man-made pool you don’t have to worry about the large rocks from the bottom of the lake so you can jump without worries!

Life guards on duty are available on the property to keep an eye on you while you and your family play in the water.

Still, if you are not a very good swimmer, I strongly recommend you wear a life jacket.

Life jackets can be rented on site for around 2 USD per jacket for the entire day.

I have almost forgot to mention this! Burgers Lake is a wonderful place for a birthday celebration, especially when you have kids.

I’ve spent hours challenging friends to diving board jumps, enjoyed picnics at the well-maintained tables, and even celebrated a birthday at one of their grills.

The facilities cater to every need, making each visit comfortable and fun.
