Stayed at the Westin Playa Conchal for a week and enjoyed every moment of it. The room was clean and the mini bar was pretty much stocked everyday. The food was delicious and had really good quality ingredients at all the restaurants, even the buffet, surprisingly.

Drinks were made well by the bar tenders. Highly recommend their mango smoothie with Flor de Caña rum! The animals around the property, the coatis, iguanas and finally the monkeys (very elusive btw) were so entertaining to watch. Lastly, the property opens up to a beautiful beach with “shell sand,” thus the name.

As far as excursions go, during our time there we went on a day trip that included canyoneering, tubing, and hot springs courtesy of Erick Garcia who can be found right around the entrance of the beach. You can’t miss him.

He’ll have a blue shirt and hat with his name on it. Highly recommend him if there are any tours or excursions you’re looking for, he has the best rates. Overall our stay there was incredible and I would definitely recommend this resort and destination.

This was my second trip to The Westin at Playa Conchal. They exceeded my expectations yet again. The food was great, the service was excellent.

This JW Marriot is a beautiful property. The staff were very friendly, professional and very accommodating. There is a private beach, a beautiful oversized pool with a well manicured landscape.

Our room had enough space, a soft bed, a good sized bath tub, and an amazing view of the beach. There is a good selection of restaurants on the property.
The breakfast buffet had a lot of options and everything tasted very fresh. (Esp the mango!!)
We were there the same day as the Super Bowl so they set up a large screen TV/BBQ in the pool courtyard. They also had a beach dinner option for Valentines Day. They staff went above and beyond to make these events special for their guests.
The rooms are in good shape but they are not furnished with modern furniture.

We stayed for 3 nights recently and loved virtually everything about this resort. The facilities are beautiful (the rooms are fairly spacious), they have a nice stretch of private beach, there’s no difficulty finding seating around the pool, and the staff could not have been nicer.
A special shout out to Dennis in the reception area and Concierge lounge. He was always so helpful and friendly! You can tell that he cares about the guests and their experience.
We ate at every restaurant on site. The breakfast buffet was good with plenty of variety, but our favorite was the Asian fusion restaurant for dinner.
The mojitos bar created one of the best blackberry mojitos that I’ve ever had, and we went back every night to try a different gelato.
I didn’t feel like the pricing for the meals and drinks was crazy, and it certainly was in line with other JW properties that we’ve stayed at.
I would definitely return to this resort.

My wife and I stayed at PH for a week in December ’21 – as our delayed honeymoon of sorts (Covid wedding in 2020 so didn’t travel then) – and also traveled with my in-laws. We all thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The property and facilities are great.

For an all inclusive, the food/drinks were certainly above average – in terms of quality as well as variety of options. If you can get a good deal on upgrading to Star Class, I could not recommend it any higher. Not only did the concierge service and separate pool/bar areas make our days onsite more relaxing, but the servers/staff who we had were world class.

If you are fortunate enough to be assigned Dayshan as your Personal Agent, you’re in luck. He was incredibly helpful, overcommunicative in the best way, and truly made our visit. Other stadounts included Greybin and Bernice behind the Star Class Bar, and in particular Gerald running drinks poolside should moonlight as a comedian.

Claudia and Efraim at the TexMex restaurant were also fantastic. We couldn’t have been more pleased with our time at PH.

You seriously should consider upgrading to Star Class if you are staying here.
