We stayed as a couple in the water villa and it was amazing! From the arrival, the way we were greeted and looked after was excellent. Fantastic room, great staff. Food was superb and variety and quality too. All the services were great. The facilities are superb, we loved the snorkeling. I would particularly call out Masum who was the mini bar man & waiter at Harugue Garden, Riyaz who was the most fantastic waiter in Reethi Grill, and Jitin at the pool bar.
Cannot recommend this place enough and would love to go back

My husband and I traveled to the Maldives for our honeymoon and we stayed at the Reethi Faru Resort. From the moment we stepped onto the Island and were greeted by our designated staff member Amaa the trip was beyond anything we ever imagined it would be.
Amaa really made our trip whole!! she was always in contact with us Via Watsapp to make sure we had everything we needed and even arranged all our private dinners and activities and assisted with any questions we had. she reminded us about all the activities that the resort had also planned for everyone and without a doubt would always help with a smile on her face! we have stayed in touch even till this day!
The service from all staff members was nothing short of perfection! The in-house cleaning was done twice a day which was always lovely to come back to a clean tidy room.
The activity centers, (Diving center & water sports center) were a daily visit for us where we participated in all they had to offer! we had the chance to see some of the most amazing reefs and sea life that the Maldives has to offer and it was beyond magical! the staff was also amazing and so helpful!
The food at the buffet and other restaurants were amazing each day! and the beach parties and movie nights on the beach were the cherries on top!
We would like to thank each and every member at the hotel for making our stay a magical experience and we cannot wait to be back there again!

Reethi Faru is a shining example of how to do resorts right.
The welcome and subsequent staff interactions are warm and genuine (shout out to Misbah in Vakaru), their sustainability credentials are hard (impossible?) to beat, the house reef is full of amazing sea life, activities and excursions are many and varied, and the dive center is simply awesome. The food is varied and of excellent quality in all the restaurants, and the huge drinks menu will mean you don’t need to have the same thing twice unless you want to. The villas are large and super comfortable, and the convenience of the health center for COVID testing is perfect.
The island is big enough to have everything you need and to find quiet spots to yourself, but small enough to feel cast adrift in the ocean. It looks just like it does in the photos.
Would recommend it with no hesitation.

Loved it! Fabulous staff (shout out to Arres, his jokes are on point), gorgeous resort. All rooms are beautiful and we loved the view of the lagoon from our twin sky room.
Great to get snorkels and fins on the house, and enjoyed especially using the complimentary pedalo to get to the middle of the lagoon and swim around the underwater statues and brain coral – a great intro to snorkeling or for those to experience it even if less comfortable with swimming.
Go to the Saii bar between 4 and 6 pm and wait for the dolphins to swim by, it is quite the treat 🙂

What a gorgeous property with staff members going out of their way to make our stay so enjoyable. The rooms were beautifully designed, pool was awesome with a beautiful view of the ocean. The pool bar was great and the food was very good. All the staff were wonderful!

I felt welcomed and at home the second I stepped onto the island. I was greeted by George and a lovely gentle man from Egypt. Mohamed is unforgettable, such and honest awesome guy. The food was great, the room was excellent! My bungalow was breathtaking, clean and gorge. They have an app that allows you to easily communicate with staff anywhere on the ground. They respond in seconds, just an overall great experience and I will absolutely re-visit in the future.
3. Dhigali Maldives
Located also in Raa Atoll and surrounded by turquoise waters of the Indian Ocean and ranked as one of the most beautiful Maldives resorts, Dhigali Maldives can be reached after a 45 minutes seaplane flight from Male International Airport.
DHIGALI MALDIVES
Raa Atoll North Province, Maldives

From $682
One of the most beautiful hotels in Maldives has Maldivian architecture with box-like villas and flat white roofs.
The island decor is extremely simple and homey with splashed colors except for the orange pool towels, multicolors cushions from the restaurant, and incredible chandeliers that swing in the breeze.
Dhigali Maldives offers to its guests 8 different types of room categories, including beach villas and overwaters villas with their own private pools.
The interiors of the rooms are bright and cozy with comfortable beds, big bathrooms, and beautiful terraces overlooking the ocean.
Dhigali Maldives has 5 restaurants and 2 bars where you can serve all three meals and try a long list of cocktails and drinks.
I am sure your kid’s favorite restaurant will be Jade which offers the option of creating your own pizza, salad, or pasta combining fish, meat, sauces, and spices you like most.
My favorite place from Dhigali Maldives is the bird’s nest bar called Haali, where you can swing into a beanbag while enjoying your cocktail and watching the sunset.
When you feel that it’s time for some action, head to the diving and water sports center where you can dive, snorkel or book a trip to explore the surrounding.
The most popular trips are the Sunset cruise, the Dolphins cruise, and the fishing trips.
For little guests, there are daily activities that allow them to discover and learn new things and have fun.

If you are thinking of visiting Dhigali DO IT!
Although we had to wait a couple of hours for the seaplane it was the most fabulous way to arrive. The Island is beautiful beyond words, with lots of wildlife from fruit bats, lizards, tropical songbirds, geckos, and crabs. We stayed in a beach bungalow for 8 nights & a lagoon villa with a pool for 2 nights. The bungalows were beautiful with what felt like your private bit of beach with your own sunbeds. The lagoon villa is absolutely stunning and has a different view out to sea and would have loved a few more nights there.
We used the water sports center a few times doing snorkeling with turtles (we saw loads) and amazing jet ski safari going to sandbanks, more snorkeling and then racing around the Island at sunset, magical. The water sports staff are local and lovely.
Every meal was delicious and had so much variety, email the hotel in advance to Book the A la carte restaurants, they are incredibly helpful on the live chat. The buffet always had loads of choices and lovely bbq’s at lunchtime. Minibar is not so mini and restocked daily.
The staff here cannot do enough for you, they all smile and say hello as they pass you as you wander around the island. We also booked private dining on the beach, the most romantic way to spend an evening.
The gym is well equipped for a hotel. The cafe serves lovely coffee and delicious cakes, milkshakes are rather nice too.
DJ Hambi plays some great sets in the afternoon by the pool and at the Hali bar at sunset. The resident man & woman band are best listened too after a few drinks!!!
My husband had a problem with his ear and the island doctor was very helpful and got it sorted out, he does love a chat though ?
Spa was as usual fairly pricey but a great variety of massages but gets booked up quick.
If you are looking for exciting nightlife this probably isn’t the place for you but if you want to visit paradise, relax, snorkel, eat, drink, and be treated like royalty buy all the staff this is your place.
The Island is just so beautiful to wonder around and take in the beauty of the palm trees, white sandy beaches & crystal blue sea.
We foolishly left some belongings in our room when we left including my Apple Watch & jewellery. This was handed in and then the Madey from guest relations arranged for it to be flown to another Island where are friends were staying to bring home showing even after we had gone they were still going above and beyond.
Would I go back, yes in a heartbeat
Emily B from US
My husband and I have just returned from Dhigali. I wanted to stay forever. I came back thinking the whole experience couldn’t have been real because I could never have imagined the world contained a place like this. This is the first time I have ever reviewed anything but I had such a good experience that I wanted to share it.
The claims made on the website for Dhigali are true. From the moment we landed in Male, the Dhigali team was in action. The island is like something out of a movie or magazine and the food is amazing. I am a very fussy eater and still enjoyed everything. Nothing was too much trouble and the nicest thing is that everyone says hello!
The watersports we did were fantastic- we even saw a pod of dolphins on the dolphin cruise!
We cannot wait to go back next year!!
Thank you Dhigali, you made our very long-awaited holiday an absolute dream!
Tommo Stuart T from UK
What a dream holiday.
Incredible place. The staff are amazing, the food and drink are fantastic.
We went with our 10-month-old baby and I could not recommend it more for an enjoyable, relaxing adventure with a little one.
Special thanks to the amazing: Ruby, Natty, Muneer, Martin, and Kumar who made the holiday very special.

What I like most at Sun Syam Vilu Reef is the weekly beach cocktail with live music, lobster, and good-quality champagne.
We strongly encourage you to try the diving sessions or the snorkeling trips as these are the best way to get close to marine creatures and to the wonderful and colorful coral reefs from the area.
The local spa is an interesting mix of Eastern traditions and contemporary Western practices and you definitely have to book at least a spa session while on the island.

We have just come back from a fantastic holiday on one of the best resorts in the Maldives. We have been to the Maldives 6 times before and all have been good holidays but what makes this special is the staff, they cannot do enough for you. We are oldies and we were treated like royalty. As soon as we got there Alloh came and looked after us and from then on he made sure everything was perfect. The Aqua restaurant staff are out of this world and are great fun too many to mention. There was always something on the menu that we liked and no complaints about the quality of it.
It is well worth the trip to see the Dolphins. We hope perhaps in the future we will be able to go again

We were here for our honeymoon in January 2022 – and we are very happy with the choice of resort. First of all the island is so beautiful and suitable for anyone who wants a quiet and calm vacation. The crystal clear water and the white sand is amazing! We can without any doubt say that the resort exceeded all our expectations.
We had a split stay so we stayed at a deluxe beach villa with a pool the first night and then on a water villa. The beach villa was more suitable for us because we preferred being closer to everything. Both villas were very very clean and stayed equally clean throughout our stay!
The staff is very friendly and as we believe the friendliness was genuine. They were very helpful with everything and went above and beyond to make sure that our stay was as pleasant as possible especially regarding my pregnant wife and the fact that we were there for our honeymoon. After just a few days they remembered names, orders, and preferences. Everything was done with a smile on their face.
We liked all three restaurants but The Spice was our favorite. The chef Sunil came to the tables after the dinner and had a nice chat with everyone, which was appreciated. Also, the chef Yoonus at the Aqua restaurant surprised us with dishes that we didn’t expect but liked! Lastly a special thanks to our host Mohammed who made sure that everything was as smooth as possible for us

Surrounded by turquoise waters and pristine beaches, the WOW factor on arrival is assured.
You will fall in love with Velassaru Maldives , a small corner of paradise from the moment you will step on the island.
The area has a slightly younger vibe and is preferred mostly by couples and honeymooners.
The beach villas come with a breathtaking outdoor bathroom, while the overwater villas offer privacy and amazing views of the Indian Ocean.

Velassaru the island, the team, the food, hospitality, quality of welcome and accommodation, and comfort were outstanding. We enjoyed a fabulous 7-night stay and were thoroughly well looked after from the moment we arrived to getting back to Male airport. The grounds/gardens are incredibly verdant, lush, and immaculately maintained and tidied (and beautifully lit at night). The choice and quality of restaurants and meals for a small island (you can walk around it in around 25 minutes, feet in the sea almost all the way) is remarkable. Our beach villa was perfect, with a sea view and plenty of space for the time we wanted to be indoors, including the wonderful outdoor shower. The facilities (pool, dive center, gym, water sports center) are all stylish and sensitively low-key for the glorious natural setting. Perhaps amongst all this excellence, the stand-out feature is the quality of personal service. Polite, discrete, good-humored, attentive, and authentic. While not as remote as other islands, the convenience of a refreshing 25-minute boat ride from the airport is more than adequate compensation.
Ciara g G from Amsterdam, Netherlands
My partner and I spent 2 weeks on the island and stayed in both the beach villa and the overwater villa with a pool. Both were excellent options and it was nice to have a change of scenery during our stay. Brett and Joao and their teams provided great service and spectacular dining options. In particular, the New Year’s Eve dinner and the party were out of this world. Lots of different cuisine on offer but the highlight was the Teppanyaki restaurant. The wagyu beef was to die for.
Never a dull moment with massages and treatments at the spa, jet skiing, parasailing, boat trips looking for Dolphins, and seeing lots of little sharks and Stingrays. The overwater villa had endless amounts of fish swimming all around which was amazing to watch.
Big shout out to Diwaan who brought a smile to our faces every morning at breakfast. All the staff was so friendly and attentive and helpful.
Alexis D, Boston Massachusetts
Velassaru was a much welcome reprieve from the pandemic. The Maldives has really got the protocol down – we felt 100% safe at all times, and EVERYTHING at Velassaru is outdoors.
First and foremost, the people were absolutely incredible. The dedication to service and creating the perfect holiday for each individual was above and beyond.
I would recommend staying in the overwater rooms (we stayed in the Water Bungalow with a pool). The rooms on land are very tucked into the vegetation and many don’t have views. The snorkeling was SPECTACULAR. You need to wait for high tide, but it’s worth the wait – hawksbill turtles, white tip/blacktip reef sharks, rays, octopus, moray eels, more butterflyfish than you can identify.
They also managed our return Covid test seamlessly. As US citizens, we needed to have a negative PCR test in hand within one day of departure from the Maldives; we were tested the day before our departure (at the resort) and had resulted in hand the very next morning.

This island truly has everything and we are so pleased we chose Kuramathia. The island is huge and so many different bars/ restaurants to visit if you’re looking for a choice this is the island for you. It was pure paradise the scenery and water is something you won’t believe until you’re there. We stayed in a garden room villa ( room 7) it was on the beach and the view from our room was amazing. We then stayed in room 365 a water villa with a pool this was bar far the best room as you have the perfect view of the sandbank. The food choice is amazing and would highly recommend going all-inclusive selection. All staff very friendly.
It was pure bliss can’t wait to go back!!

If you want to have all your wishes fulfilled on vacation and want a mix of relaxation, adventure and a bit of luxury – Kuramathi is the right place for you. All employees are very courteous, friendly and helpful. The food is very varied and delicious. There are a lot of guests asking the chefs for recipes as it is so delicious. We can recommend the homemade granola for breakfast! There are many opportunities to do something, such as several excursions or renting kayaks / SUPs. In addition, the Kuramathi is very transparent, so that you can take a closer look at everything around the resort (electricity, own cultivation of herbs, etc.). This is my second time at Kuramathi and I would go back again and again.
Jacqueline M from Dublin, Ireland
We’re home a month and we are still dreaming of Kuramathi. Did 9 nights, 4 in a water villa with a pool, and 5 in a deluxe beach villa. Both fab.
We did select all-inclusive. The food is great. Especially the Thai, Indian and the teppanyaki, and the reef. The palm and Inguru for lunch during the day were our favorites ❣️ Happy and Azrab were both very sweet and helpful employees we met during our stay, they worked between Dhoni bar and Palm, we wish them well.
Snorkeling is good fun. The island itself is amazing, you can walk all around it within the hour, we walked everywhere really rather than waiting for a buggy. Buggies are frequent, however. My only tip would be for the likes of honeymooners, it would have been nice to have been given an extra warm welcome or have a bottle of prosecco/chocolates in the room on arrival. It would have been a nice extra touch.
Can’t wait to visit again. It’s definitely on the agenda. Thanks for the lovely memories!

Having just returned from 10 days in Cocoon I have to say it was an absolutely fabulous holiday. My husband and I traveled to the island in mid-March with our daughter and her partner and we all had a superb time. Everything about the island is just first class and what made this trip even more special is that on day 2 we were upgraded to a water villa – we were all stunned. I have no idea why we got the upgrade but were really grateful to Ram and his team for the opportunity – simply wonderful. Other names I wanted to mention who gave exception service were Afzal and Rohita in the Restaurant. Also from the bars, there was Hrilanka, Ezra and Elvin – each one of these guys was just so attentive and couldn’t do enough for you. We also had a Private Sunset Cruise and the 4 of us enjoyed a drink whilst we watched the sun go down – and Ali who was our host was just a joy to spend time with. And finally a special mention to our room guy – Amir – he (like all of the staff) was just so warm and friendly, attentive and caring.
The whole experience surpassed our expectations and I have no doubt we will be back. And finally a huge heartfelt thank you to Ram and his whole team – and everyone involved in making this resort and our holiday so special we appreciate all your efforts

We have just arrived from our one-week holiday in Cocoon. The best experience was me to meet this helpful, professional, and extremely kind staff. We had a host, who takes care of you all the time and makes everything more perfect. All we had to do was just enjoy the vacation. They organized our arrival and departure step by step. They perform all the things you ask. You can choose from many activities which are valuable. We really saw dolphins and turtles on the cruise and snorkeled through a beautiful coral garden. On the beach, you can see the beautiful underwater nature. The food is delicious, everyone can find something for their taste. It was nice to get to know new meals because of the themed dinners. There are programs after dinner every night. The room is clean and peaceful. I hope I can go back sometimes

On-site there are two restaurants and two bars where you can serve international and local dishes as well as a wide range of cocktails and drinks.
What I like about this resort is that it offers a wide range of activities and due to its perfect location the waters around the island are full of marine creatures and beautiful corals.

This was our third visit to Constance, and it didn’t disappoint! There is a wonderful laid-back barefoot chic feel to the place from the minute you step off the seaplane and it continues until you have to wave goodbye to all the WONDERFUL staff, who cannot do enough for you (a special mention to Roul, the assistant manager, who was a huge help when I had a slight health issue). We stayed for a week from 28th December and were therefore lucky enough to experience the New Year’s Gala which was absolutely PHENOMENAL! Such a joy to see staff interacting with guests like they were old friends, and the food – WOW! We will return to this resort again in a heartbeat – why search elsewhere when you have found PERFECTION!

Beautiful, outstanding resort. Very private and relaxing. The staff is very professional and attentive. The food was excellent and had a lot of variety.
Dive operation is Blue Tribe. We have been diving for more than 25 years and have to say the staff is extremely capable and attentive to all guest needs. Special shout out to Miles, Sambe, Shaam, and King who made our diving easy and enjoyable

We have just spent 10 nights at Constance Moofushi and can honestly say it was the best holiday ever! Apart from the location being totally idyllic, Henri and his team made sure we could not want anything. They were all so helpful, always smiling and totally professional. The food was incredible with lots of choices and I would like to make a special mention to Binju from Nepal who we looked forward to seeing every day in the restaurant. She was so friendly and couldn’t do enough to make sure we were happy. I was so sad to come home from Constance Moofushi and I definitely will be going back.
9. Fushifaru Maldives
Located 40 minutes seaplane ride from Velana International airport, Fushifaru Maldives is surrounded by one of the healthiest coral reefs from the Maldives, unaffected by the 2016 bleaching event).
FUSHIFARU MALDIVES
Lhaviyani Atoll, Fushifaru
This little island rests between two channels connecting the atoll’s inner lagoon to the outer sea, while a large sand bank lies on one side.

So, yes, the waters around this private island resort are packed with beautiful coral reefs, colorful fishes, dolphins, and other spectacular marine creatures that can hardly be seen anywhere else in the Maldivian archipelago.
Very close to the island can be found 3 of the most important diving spots from Maldives including Fushifaru Kan’du which is a Marine Protected area, Fushifaru Thila, the most iconic diving sports from the area and an important marine cleaning station, a good place to spot manta rays, turtles and other marine creatures.
Fushifaru Maldives is located on an extremely small island; you need just 15 minutes to walk to get from one part to another of the island.
The design of the villas is simple and resembles a Maldivian traditional village with coconut palms and sandy paths that unite the villas with the common areas.
The WOW factor of the island is given by the beach that is covered with incredibly white sand beach.
There are in total 49 villas at Fushifaru Maldives spread around the tiny island including 5 water villas overlooking the sunrise side.
The villas are quite small after the Maldivian standards, but nicely furnished and come with a stunning outdoor bathroom with a rain shower and bathtubs.
On-site there are 3 restaurants and 2 bars that offer a wide range of cocktails, drinks, and dishes from international, Asian, and local cuisine.

If you’re looking for an unforgettable Maldives vacation experience, look no further than Fushifaru. This resort offers guests luxurious accommodations, impeccable service, and activities to please every type of traveler. Whether you’re looking to relax on the beach or explore the local culture, Fushifaru has something for everyone.
We had the pleasure of staying at the Fushifaru Resort in the Maldives for 7 nights and it was an exceptional experience! The resort is very well maintained and truly beautiful – from the elegant villas to the sparkling ocean views, everything about it was perfect.
The staff were incredibly welcoming and went out of their way to make sure were taken care of, we don’t have words to express how exceptional the team at Fushifaru is.
The resort has a “Host” policy where each room is assigned a dedicated host. We were blessed to be assigned Ninni as our resident host. Ninni is a kind, considerate, and super friendly person. She went above and beyond to ensure we had the best time – by day 2 we had nicknamed her our vacation hero! No words can describe how much value she added to our trip, especially to kids who were literally crying when they said bye to her.
Thank you Fushifaru Maldives for memories we will cherish forever. We hope to return one day again in the future.
Christine E from Achill Island, Ireland
My husband and I visited Fushifaru for our 20th wedding anniversary. It was our first time in the Maldives and we were blown away.
Fushifaru is a beautiful island and is everything you expect from the Maldives. Paradise was found!
We were made to feel very special with our host Anna tending to our every need. As we wanted to experience the beach and sea villa, we spent 3 nights in the beach villa and 4 in the water villa. Both were stunning and very private.
All of the staff were extremely helpful and couldn’t do enough for you. Our waiter Rasheed was lovely and always on hand. The restaurant team, Tami, and Chatera made dishes to die for!
The entertainment each night was brilliant. Roy’s flair bartending show was amazing along with Cathy’s brilliant singing.
Fushifaru is a small boutique island having no more than 150 guests at a time which provides you with that intimate feeling. Being able to walk around the whole island surrounded by white sand in around 20 minutes was beautiful and something we will never forget.
If you are looking for a small, beautiful, intimate island where everything is catered for then make it Fushifaru – you won’t regret it!
Rani A from Dallas, Texas
I had a fantastic stay at Fushifaru and can’t say enough good things about this hotel. Look no further and book with them immediately. It’s a small island with a wonderful team of dedicated staff that has perfected luxury without pretension. The Villa is lovely, spa relaxing, delicious food, drinks, and an all-around personal experience. I didn’t want to leave! As a solo female traveler, this is a home away from home where you feel safe, cared for, and recognized. It was also my first trip to the Maldives and was everything I wanted.
The hospitality made more sense to me after being a part of their 4th annual celebration, the owners treat their staff so well, that it shows in every guest interaction. Appreciation and hospitality are the core threads of Fushifaru. I can’t wait to go back. Thank you and miss you guys already!

My wife and I stayed at the Palace for 11 nights at the beginning of May. From the moment we arrived, we felt completely at ease and relax. Our room was perfect and the surroundings are amazing. We had an overwater bungalow, which gave us direct access to the sea and provided us with some amazing sunset swims. What truly made this vacation was the absolutely amazing staff. Every single staff member went out of their way to make our trip even better. We especially enjoyed all of the bar staff at the poolside bar. They were all extremely friendly and made our cocktail hours very memorable. I would highly encourage people to stay here!

We stayed at the hotel for a week from the 8th of January. From the moment we were collected and flown by seaplane the holiday was magical
The hotel was immaculate, the food fantastic and the snorkeling was to die for. We were staying in an overwater bungalow and frequently had rays, turtles, and baby sharks swimming by. The weather was awesome but the room had great air conditioning to compliment
However, the highlight was the amazing staff who were so friendly and could not do enough. They were all great. I could go on for ages. We had a great trip and I am jealous of all those about to experience this facility.
Dreadzepp1986 from Houston, US
My wife and I stayed at the Riu Palace for 5 nights during November, in room number 34. (Overwater villa with private infinity pool.) The room was very spacious and clean. The staff did an awesome job keeping the room and mini bar well stocked and extremely clean during our stay. The housekeeping staff also decorated our room for my wife’s birthday. I thought this was really awesome because while I had mentioned it was her birthday, I had not made any special requests or asked the management to decorate our room.
We spent most of the vacation on our deck and swimming in the private pool. If you stay in a villa with the pool, make sure you try the breakfast boat! Where our room (#34) was located, the seawater is fairly deep, and the current was strong during most of the stay. You can swim here but be careful! I’d also recommend going to the beach on the east side of the island, near the Palace hotel. I snorkeled there and saw a lot of different sea life, including sharks and stingrays. There was some coral and what appears to be a man-made rock wall that attracts many fish and is not too far of a swim out from the beach.
For me personally, the highlights of this stay were the amazing beach and the clearness of the water. Being able to stay in an overwater villa was a plus, but it would still be amazing even without that. The hotel and grounds are very clean. I noticed that staff were constantly cleaning restrooms and public areas. Even the walking paths were being raked every single morning! The staff was so friendly and helpful, especially at mealtimes in the buffet. I also want to mention the great service from the guys that shuttle guests (and their luggage) around the resort in golf carts. My wife is not a fan of walking, so we used the golf carts to go everywhere around the resort. All of these people were very kind and friendly!

It has been 2 months+ since my husband and I celebrated our honeymoon at Emerald Maldives Resort and Spa, and we still haven’t stopped talking about it. We had an amazing time at this five-star luxury resort, where the staff went above and beyond to make us feel special.
Accommodations: We stayed in the overwater villa w/a private pool which was breathtaking. We had wonderful views of the sunset every evening and appreciated the daily cleaning service they provided (especially during COVID). The rooms are immaculate, just as shown on the website. Our room was decorated twice in celebration of our honeymoon and my husband’s birthday which was extra sweet and thoughtful. We loved that we could swim right out into the Indian ocean, and we really enjoyed the privacy these villas offered. Each villa comes with 2 bicycles to help you get around the island.
Service: ABOVE and BEYOND from the moment we arrived. Honestly, the conversation we have mostly regarding our stay is about the incredible team here. We made some fantastic relationships with Alim, Prakash, Martin, Nash, Joseph and Lee who provided us with impeccable service, great conversation, and wonderful entertainment that we’ll never forget. Alim and Prakash provided us with wonderful cocktail services and nightly fun and went above and beyond to make sure we were cared for. Alim even made me a beautiful hat made from Palm, which is something I’ll cherish forever! Nash, Joseph, and Lee (the sommeliers) were full of knowledge and great recommendations when it came to wine choices. They made sure every meal was well paired with our food selections and were an absolute pleasure to talk with. Shiham was our dedicated butler who helped us tremendously when it came to booking reservations, excursions, and arranging buggy service. We appreciate and thank you all!
Anthony P from New York
An absolute dream vacation with attention to detail, superb service, breathtaking views, incredible food, and memories that will last a lifetime.
We traveled all the way from NYC and after two full days in the air, we immediately felt welcomed and a sense of relaxation the second we arrived on the island. Their COVID protocols are extremely well done, with a medical doctor on island.
I don’t think there is a bad villa on the island, and ours is as no exception. The views, private plunge pool, ladder to ocean, and incredible bathroom was some of the most incredible hotel room we’ve ever experienced. You also get your own bikes to explore the private island, which we made us of to snorkel, swim, and walk on the beaches.
We did a few excursions – sunset boat tour and snorkeling. We got to see dolphins, sea turtles, coral, and various other beautiful fish.
The staff and service were world class. Our butler helped us make reservations, explore the options on the island, prepare special dinners/breakfasts, and much much more. Our sommelier, Joseph, was a wonderful surprise to the trip and made the dining experience so much more elevated. He was able to get to know us over the week and recommend some incredible wine. We ended up loving a particular wine so much that we’re still on the hunt for it today! Thank you for that!
Robbie from Dallas, Texas

We spent a week in this amazing resort! Everything was perfect, amazing atmosphere, spectacular beaches and everyone was so kind and professional! The food is incredibly good too, we loved having dinner at Reethi grill restaurant, the staff is so attentive and the food so good and fresh! Also a big thank you for helping my husband to order some contact lenses from Male , in 1 day they were delivered to the resort and he was able to snorkel every day! Thank you Reethi Beach we loved every single moment of our holiday and we will come back!
Tom B from Austria
We chose Reethi Beach Resort for its price performance ratio and the whole stay was amazing. Starting from nice and clean villas, a great house reef, a comprehensive excursion program, and a lot of watersports activities to delicious buffets with a huge variety of tasty dishes. The so-called coconut spa offers a great variety of massages and other treatments.
The whole island is run with great love for detail at every corner. The staff is always nice and good company. Everybody tries to make your stay as enjoyable as possible. They do their best to satisfy the special wishes of the guests. We booked all-inclusive, meaning that 3 meals a day were included as well as many (but not all) beverages, 2 free excursions, free trial scuba diving and a free introduction to snorkeling. The other excursions and watersports activities like turtle or manta snorkeling, dolphin cruise, banana ride, flyboard, jetski, catamaran and many more are not included in the price. You have to book them (about 1 day) in advance. The activities range from about 50 to 200 USD each.
In the house reef you can find various rays, turtles, sharks, and of course a huge variety of different fishes. Sometimes even dolphins.
The size of the island is just right. Not too small, the guests are always distributed over the island and it seems that only few people are on the island even if the max number of about 250 guests is present. And it is not too large so every point can be reached within 10 min by footwalk.
The whole stay was just awesome. We felt highly welcome and valued as important guests at any time. We can highly recommend the resort!

Absolutely incredible experience. Anastasia, our hostess, was fantastic. Every staff member was incredibly friendly and said hi anytime we passed them. Very, very welcoming place. We did a water villa (which I highly recommend) and soft all-inclusive (which didn’t include alcohol, which was fine because it was less expensive to just pay for alcohol a lá carte when we wanted a drink). We went jet skiing (lots of fun), snorkeling (the equipment was very inexpensive to rent and the reef surrounding the island is awesome), got massages and went scuba diving.
Our scuba diving guide, Didi, was AMAZING. Basically an angel. It was our first-time scuba diving, and we were horrible at it. Haha. But she made it fun and went above and beyond – – she was swimming for the two of us and herself most of the time by just holding the backs of our vests and swimming us around underwater. So nice and friendly too with a great smile. If there was a Nobel Prize for best scuba diving guide, she should win it.
Bacil, the guy at the leisure house, always welcomed us with a great smile. He also led a coconut tree planting on the island with us and other guests. It was so fun to learn facts about the Maldives and plant a tree!
The only thing I wish the resort had was better internet (both wifi and/or just faster cell phone internet coverage). But, still easily, easily five stars. Stunningly beautiful island – – the closest to paradise on earth that we have experienced

This place is one of the best organised value for money places we have ever been to. I can’t speak of it highly enough. The quality of the resort, the food and the staff is top grade for the money. Thank you for a super relaxing trip. Special mention to Sandani & Rucky for the animation ??and Isuru the cocktail barman?? in the pool bar.
Most of the time the buffet is great but some days less interesting. There are 2 other restaurants though. Animation at night is very good with great DJ and live music
15. Meeru Island Resort & Spa
One of the largest Maldives resorts, Meeru Island Resort & Spa is located about 55 minutes by speedboat from Male International Airport.
MEERU ISLAND RESORT & SPA

The resort has two fresh water swimming pools on the beach and children’s playground, and guests can enjoy a drink at the bar.

Unlike most resorts from Maldives, at Meeru Island Resort Maldives you cannot snorkel right from the beach but you can catch a free boat to go out to the lagoon.
With its 286 rooms spread all over the island, Meeru Island Resort & Spa is among the largest from the Maldivian archipelago.
The rooms are located in the garden (these are the most basic ones), on the beach and over the water.
Some of the rooms come with private pools and the beach villas have a wonderful wooden deck that opens directly into the Indian Ocean.
Meeru Island Resort Maldives offers two meal and beverage packages: the full board and the all-inclusive plan which include an all-you-can-eat buffet for all the 3 meals over the day plus dinner at Farivalhu or Maalan (an adults-only restaurant).
The all-inclusive plan comes with a wide selection of soft drinks and selected alcoholic drinks as well as snacks like pizza, burgers, and ice cream.
Among the facilities available at the property, one of the most beautiful all inclusive resorts from Maldives I would like to mention a golf course, a football pitch, tennis courts, a gym, a badminton court as well as a library, a game room and two spas ( one on the island and another one over the water).
Live music and DJs will entertain you during the evening and you can practice your singing skills on karaoke night.

A relaxing experience from start to finish.
The overwater villa was superb – we felt like we were in our own aquarium when standing on the balcony.
Scuba diving was well organized and the diver masters had a wealth of knowledge.
Food and drink were exceptional with a great variety to suit all cultures and palates.
All the staff – waiters, cleaners, dive team, ground staff, reception staff, and everyone else, too numerous to mention, on the island were friendly, polite, and very helpful. We didn’t have one bad experience. Highly recommend
Kbanksdunnell from Norwich, UK
This was our 9th trip to Maldives and our 3rd trip to Meeru. It is an excellent island and very good value for money. We always stay in the North of the island as this is adults only and so quieter. The adults-only restaurant in the North I think is nicer too as it has a terrace overlooking the sea. There is also an adults-only bar attached to the restaurant which I think is much nicer than the ones in the south and again is quieter.
The food is excellent. So much choice and very good quality, even delicious puddings!
The staff is professional and very polite and welcoming. Good standard of cleanliness.
The house reef isn’t brilliant for snorkeling but there is still a lot of fish to see. If you want to see more fish and reefs when snorkeling then there are free boat trips 4 times a day to take you to the nearby reef.
Excellent spa especially the one in the North which is in little huts set out over the sea.
I recommend the water villas in the north, particularly the sunset water villas. Also, the waterside villas are lovely and just steps away from the sea. Garden villas are very basic and quite dark inside. There are 2 pools and again, the one in the north is for adults only.
I would definitely recommend this island.
DAT6 from Kalmar, Sweden
Fantastic resort if you want a relaxing vacation. The whole resort is well maintained and the rooms are clean and tidy. Even if the resort was more or less fully booked you could have almost a whole beach for yourself. The Buffet was fantastic and the variety was good.
We were very pleased with our stay. We stayed in the Water Villas 700 and were very happy with the room and private entrance to the sea from the partly open bathroom
Conclusion
These are the best price-quality hotels and Maldives resorts that won’t make you break the bank for your dream holiday.
Of course, there are many other luxurious hotels in Maldives, like Gili Lankanfushi Maldives, One&Only Reethi Rah (choose now the best villa from this luxurious hotel) or Huvafen Fushi Maldives but the prices for a night exceed 1,400 USD which is quite a lot for most of us not to mention about Conrad and its unique underwater restaurant.
The big plus of the hotels presented in this article is that they are affordable but the main issue is that they are likely to sell out well in advance.
That is why we strongly advise you to secure your booking in advance so that you can enjoy your time abroad without damaging your budget.
Book your accommodation
We always use Booking.com as they have the best price-quality ratio and they offer a wide range of hotels, guesthouses, apartments, and villas to choose from.
You will find here all types of accommodations, from the cheapest ones to the most luxurious.
Don't forget travel insurance
We never leave home without HeyMondo Insurance or Safety Wings Insurance as they offer the best services and a good value for money.
When we go for longer trips around the world we get Globelink Insurance as it offers a good cover for an affordable price.
Travel insurance will always protect you against unexpected costs caused by medical events like illness, injury, theft, or travel cancellation.
We never go on any trip without travel insurance and there were many cases when we had to use it.

We like to explore a country on our own and a car gives us the mobility and freedom to do that.
We always rent our car from Discovercars as they have free cancellation 48 hours prior to starting date and a wide range of car rental companies and options to choose from all over the world.
Tours and attractions
When we are looking for some adventure or we simply want to break up the monotony and discover new places, we always use GetYourGuide.
We love it because we always find the most amazing experiences, with free cancellation and a large variety of activities and tours to choose from.
Airplane tickets and holiday packages
Expedia is our ally when searching for the best price for airplane tickets as it works as an aggregator for a huge number of airlines and we always find the best price for our flights.
Travel tip: use Expedia when you are searching for holiday packages as they have many last-minute offers and great discounts for hotels, flights, and even the whole holiday packages.
