1. Mount Etna

This active volcano was included on the Unesco list starting with 2013 and is known to be the most active volcano in the world.

Around this volcano, many myths and legends had been born and is a very important observation point from naturalists from all over the world.

2. Late Baroque Towns of the Val di Noto

The area is known as Late Baroque Towns of the Val di Noto which comprises several incredible towns from the area where is Sicily on the map.

All the town from here are incredible and really masterpieces for Sicilian baroque architecture. Caltagirone, Palermo and Catania, Modica, Noto, Scicli, Acreide and Palazzolo are the most representative for baroque style the ones you should definitely visit.

4. Arab Norman Palermo

Arab Norman Palermo and the cathedral churches of Monreale and Cefalu which some amazing civil and religious ruins dating from the Norman kingdom of Sicily

5. The Aeolian Islands

The Aeolian Islands, a volcanic archipelago in the Tyrrhenian Sea right near the place where is Sicily on a map.

Villa Romana del Casale is another unique place to visit in Sicily; it is a Roman villa built in the 4th century located right near the town of Piazza Armerina, one of the best preserved archaeological sites from the island.

Here, on this unique place, you can see the most complex collection of Roman mosaics from the whole world.
