San Pancho is a small and cozy town in Mexico with an eco-conscious community with many expats and long-term visitors, all preoccupied with the fragile environment.

1. Marii Hotel Costero
One of my favorite boutique hotel San Pancho Mexico is Marii Hotel Costero, located far enough from the town to be peaceful and quiet and close enough to walk from it to the city center and the beach.
The rooms are absolutely fabulous, hidden inside of a beautiful garden that offers privacy and peacefulness.
The staff is extremely friendly and ready to help, always with a big smile on their face.
I liked their breakfast served in their airy palapa cafe, a perfect place for bird watching every morning.
The word Marii means “bird of the coast” in the local language Huichol.
The hotel perfectly brings together the minimalist design with natural elements, embracing the local idea of sustainable and eco-friendly building.
The food is prepared from local ingredients (what San Pancho offers) coming directly from local farmers and is bought fresh every day.
Here you can eat homemade jam and granola for breakfast and many other dishes prepared in their own kitchen.
The linens and towels from each room are cleaned with eco-friendly products, non-toxic to protect the environment.

We can’t speak highly enough of our stay at Marii Hotel Boutique in San Pancho, Mexico. The total is lovely: clean, comfortable and safe. There’s an excellent open air restaurant for breakfast and lunch, a salt water pool surrounded by tropical plants to enjoy. They took wonderful care of my friend and I, arranging bird-watching with a local environmentalist, and helped us resolve a complicated problem re. transportation: working after hours to see it through. San Pancho is a charming town to visit and Marii is the perfect place to stay.
2. Hotel Cielo Rojo
If you are looking for an authentic Mexican-style hotel, then Hotel Cielo Rojo is the right choice for you.
The hotel was founded in 2005 by Gisela Marin, a tourist that fell in love with San Francisco Nayarit from the moment she arrived.
The place is famous not only for its beautiful rooms and great services but also for its organic bistro called Bistro Organico.
Bistro Organico is, in my opinion, the heart of the place, an open-air restaurant located in the inner garden courtyard.
this is without any doubt one of the best restaurants in San Pancho beach town.
It serves authentic Mexican food made from organic products with great taste and a nice presentation.
There are a lot of events and art shows, including special dinners, that happen here.
Make sure you don’t miss such an event when staying at Hotel Cielo Rojo.
As for the hotel, I liked a lot the warm atmosphere and their sustainable philosophy.
It is quite a small hotel with just 10 rooms and really welcoming staff that will make you feel at home.
Each room features comfy beds, AC, and private bathrooms with free toiletries.
A complimentary breakfast consisting of coffee and tea, yogurt, granola, and seasonal fruits can be served each morning at the property.
Hotel Cielo Rojo also features a spa, offering its guests Swedish massage, reflexology, and acupressure.
You can rent bikes from the hotel reception to explore the area.
The hotel is conveniently located in the heart of the town on Calle Asia.

This small, intimate hotel in the center of San Pancho feels like a more expensive boutique hotel. Our double rooms was relatively small but well-appointed with charming touches. The small breakfast included with the room was delicious and there were other good choices for a more substantial meal. The staff are friendly and helpful. All in all, a great experience!

We had a delightful, stress free week at Pal.Mar Hotel. Check-in was a breeze, and our room was super clean and tastefully decorated. The bed was very comfortable, and the bathroom a generous size. The little kitchen area served our needs well with nice dishes, glasses, and even coffee for the coffee maker. This hotel is conveniently located in town, and the 5 minute walk to the beach is fun. We also appreciated the people who staffed the entry area. They were kind, friendly, and kept the hotel secure. The maids and grounds people kept the whole place in perfect condition.
4. Maraica Eco Hotel
Located only a minute’s walk from the beach, Maraica Eco Hotel offers stunning views of the Pacific Ocean.
This ecological and jungle hotel is conveniently located near the beach and the city center.
This is not a luxury hotel in the typical sense, as there is no AC, no WIFI, and no TV, but it has a fantastic vibe.
This is, in my opinion, one of the best hotels San Pancho Mexico, that offers a unique mixture of elements and allows you to reconnect with nature and keep the comfort you are used to.
Each room features huge beds, a hammock on the balcony, stunning mountains and ocean views, and a rustic-style shower.
Maraica Eco Hotel is another eco-friendly hotel that uses solar panels to generate electricity, gives you glass bottles of potable water, and, for its construction had been used natural materials.
On the property, there is also a pool overlooking the green lawn, some secluded places ideal for wedding parties or yoga retreats.
We strongly advise you to try their on-site restaurant, Muvieri, which offers fantastic views of the sunset from the second floor.

Had such a lovely and relaxing stay at Mariaca hotel.
First, I loved that it was an eco-hotel – they use solar power, reduce waste, compost and most of the food from their restaurant is grown in their farm or with local producers!
Next, the room was lovely. With big windows and sliding doors, it felt like we were constantly connected to nature. Falling asleep to the sound of waves crashing. Waking up with the rays of light bouncing in the room. Swinging in the hammock on the balcony. It was so magical.
Having the pool there was amazing for the hot days in the sun. And the beach, about a minute away was perfect.
The restaurant was also amazing – they had so many great vegan options for every meal. Plus, having wifi there, I was able to work remotely. I would have like to have wifi in the room too, but not having it allowed me to disconnect, which was nice too.
I highly recommend staying here. It’s such a great place with a great eco-friendly mission!
5. Hotel Casa San Pancho
This family-owned San Pancho Mexico hotel was formerly a family residence until a couple renovated the building and transformed it into a lovely guest room.
This red stone building is extremely old, more than 100 years, but it looks absolutely fantastic thanks to the renovation work.
Hotel Casa San Pancho has such a homey vibe, with a traditional Mexican touch and the services are among the best in town.
Inside the building, you will find many hand-carved relics brought by the owners from Asia.
Actually, the interiors are an interesting combination of the Asian touch, and the Mexican artisan works.
On the property, a pool with salt water is hidden in the courtyard, the perfect place to relax and cool off.
Casa San Pancho is conveniently located close to a variety of local businesses and about 10 minute’s walk from the beach.
Complimentary breakfast is served each morning at the property and consists of fresh fruits, homemade toast, mango jam, tea and coffee, orange juice, yogurt with granola, and mango.
Hotel Casa San Pancho is located on Calle Pakistan, about 10 minutes walk from the Playa San Francisco.

First time here and won’t be the last, ( we have been staying in Bucerias but they are building too many high riser condos) now we found our sweet spot!!,
The staff is friendly and helpful, there is someone there 24/7.
The breakfast starts off with fresh squeezed orange juice, and every day we were there we had a different Entrée, ( which is so nice to get a variety.
The pool is saline water, and not cold, my husband swim every day we were at her.
They met all of our needs, close to town, I’m very comfortable.
We plan on staying longer next time!
6. Habitaciones Samy
Habitationes Samy stands out for its welcoming staff, big rooms, cleanness, and good position.
This is one of the best budget-friendly San Pancho Mexico hotels.
All the rooms have air conditioning, comfy beds, and good-quality towels, as well as private bathroom.
Some of the rooms at Habitaciones Samy feature a small balcony overlooking the street.
The owners are extremely friendly and helpful and take care of you and try to understand your need.
You don’t have a swimming pool on the property, but the beach is just a short walk.
Habitationes Samy is located on the main street in San Pancho, so for this reason, it might be a little noisy until 10 or 11 in the evening when the restaurants close.
This is my favorite stay in San Francisco when travelling on budget.

The place is super cute, well decorated and there is plenty of closet space. There are some pretty nice restaurants very close from the appartment and reasonable walking time to the beach (about 10 min). The host is easy to join and very helpful to accomodate us.
7. Agua de Luna Boutique Hotel
One of the best hotels in San Pancho Mexico, with a stunning design that gives a new meaning to the word of luxury, is Agua de Luna Boutique Hotel San Pancho.
The hotel’s architecture is inspired by geometric dynamism, and you will find spaces everywhere to feel and chill.
This modern, comfortable, and clean hotel has small touches as robes to lounge about in.

The most beautiful boutique hotel experience we’ve ever had. To start, the hotel architecture with old style breeze blocks is amazing. The pool is sleek with trees surrounding it and two rooftop spas with San Pancho views. The beds are super comfortable and the bathroom in the room is so cool. However, the best part of the experience is the people. Both Marcus and Catalina at the front desk are so relatable. I even asked Catalina about doing a yoga class for my family in the rooftop and she just happened to be a yogi master who gave us the class the next morning. The most wonderful hour that we spent in San Pancho during that class. San Pancho is so chill and this hotel fits perfectly. + they have a great coffee bar for locals and guest by the lobby.
8. Verde Luna
If you are looking for a budget hotel close to the beach, go for Verde Luna.
The rooms are spacious and clean, most of them offering nice views of the garden and the ocean.
The guesthouse is conveniently located close to the beach and the coffee shops in the town.
Barbara, the host, did a fantastic job and made us feel extremely welcome.
Right next to the guesthouse is a very good restaurant, Limbo, where you have a guest discount.

I booked the penthouse suit for 3 months recently. I think it has one of the best views in the entire village! So much space, the beds are huge, and the real hem was the staff. Any little problem they would solve immediate. They went above and beyond my expectations every time. My partner had a family emergency and we had to leave in expectedly. They returned a large portion of our deposit. They had no contractual obligation to do this. They are good people with a great spot. Check it out!!!
9. Ciyé Hotel
If you are looking for a fancy 5 star hotel with top-notch facilities and stunning services, go for Ciyé Hotel.

My husband and I needed a treat and WOW did we get it! Our room was bright and felt elegant. The bathroom … the shower! … was spacious. The infinity pool on the roof was swoon-worthy. And our breakfast basket was perfect. Mayra and her staff have been incredibly gracioius, even letting us check out late so I could finish a zoom call in the airco past check-out time. Ciye Hotel is a gem.

I loved this little hotel in San Pancho! We stayed in the two bedroom bungalow with a kitchen. There was a pool, outdoor shower, hot tub on the third floor with great views. The staff was exceptional! Sandra, the manager, was incredibly helpful in setting up appointments, giving advice about restaurants, calling cabs. Such a sweetheart! I definitely recommend and would stay again.
