Garza Blanca is located right on the beach in Playa Mujeres in Costa Mujeres.

This fantastic all inclusive resort gives new meaning to the hospitality industry in the area.

You don’t have to take a shuttle bus to get to the beach, as it is right in front of you.

The rooms of this luxury resort offer amazing views of the Carribean Sea.

You can hear the sound of waves from your balcony.

The hotel is located in a quiet and calm area, a short boat ride from the pristine island of Isla Mujeres.

Although recently opened in February 2022, Garza Blanca Resort Cancun is the best a 5-star hotel waterfront located in the area.

Lobby

You will be welcomed by a stunningly designed lobby with a full-bar service, a large piano, and marble check-in counters.

Everything surrounding you is luxurious and modern, with high-class amenities and expensive furniture.

Opulence is the right word to use when describing the hotel lobby and its outdoor areas.

Rooms

All the rooms have a modern design with stylish touches, elegant furniture, private terraces, and ensuite bathrooms.

From your room and the balcony, you will have stunning ocean views.

There are multiple types of rooms, each coming with something unique and beautiful.

All the rooms are large enough to consider them suites, not standard hotel rooms.

The interiors are painted in vibrant colors, and the furniture is modern and new.

More basic rooms come with hammocks on the balcony, while larger suites also have whirlpools on the balcony.

All the rooms from Garza Blanca resort & spa Cancun have good quality mattresses and a pillow menu.

On the top floors, the suites come with whirlpools and huge patios overlooking the ocean.

Junior Suite

The smallest rooms are the Junior Suite.

It has 55 m2/ 588 sq ft, an ocean view, and a chic interior design.

On your balcony, you will find a hammock and furniture, while the interior has a relaxing vibe and induces a feeling of calm.

It is the perfect place to relax, rest and invigorate your body and soul.

Amenities from the room include a mini-fridge, an LCD TV with HD channels, complimentary Wi-Fi, complimentary water, a Nespresso coffee machine, robes and slippers, and a safe accommodating laptop.

Bedroom Suite

The next type of rooms available on the property are the bedroom suites.

These rooms come with extra space, a sofa bed, and two bathrooms.

It can accommodate up to 4 guests and has a total surface of 116 m2/ 1246 sq. ft.

Here you can choose a room with a garden view or with a sunset view. All the suites come with a terrace and hammock.

In the master bedroom there is a double king-size bed and in the living room a sofa bed.

You also have a fully equipped kitchen with appliances, a washer, and a dryer.

In the bathrooms, you will have a marble countertop, double sink vanity for the master bedroom, luxury bath amenities, robes, premium towels, luxury bath amenities, and slippers.

Butler services are also available for this type of room.

Some of the bedroom suites, the Bedroom Swim Up, come with a large private terrace with a dipping pool and hammock.

The swim-up pool is perfect for cooling off and have fun while enjoying some intimacy. You can even see the ocean from the swimming pool.

After cooling off, go to the outdoor sofa and relax or have a meal on the outdoor table set for four.

2 bedroom Suite

This huge suite comes with two bedrooms, a living room, a full-size kitchen, and outdoor and indoor dining areas spanning over 1834 sq. ft.

There are 3 bathrooms available, and the maximum capacity of the suite is 6 persons.

This type of room is available in three formats:

• with a garden view
• with an ocean view
• with a swim-up pool.

The 2 bedroom suite comes with all the facilities and amenities you have for the bedroom suite, just that it has an additional bedroom and bathroom.

The pools

The property has so many pools that you might miss the beach during your stay at Cancun Garza Blanca.

If you manage to get to the beach, you will love it as it is private, with no vendors, just the hotel’s guests.

The water from all the pools is heated if the natural heat from the sun is not enough, so you will always soak in warm water.

If you want to know about the pools and the recreational facilities of the resort, you can watch live cams on the hotel’s website before you get there.

The main pool is an Olympic size swimming pool with glass walls; then there is an infinity edge pool that seems to pour directly into the ocean.

Many whirlpools are also available on the property and are located between these two large pools.

Some of the adults-only pools have massaging jets.

If all these pools are not enough for you, then you can explore the Villas del Palmar resort pools, owned by the same family and located next door.

The pool staff is very friendly and welcoming, always ready to give you a helping hand if needed.

The staff were incredibly service orientated and so friendly and warm, always smiling and always accommodating. The 5 star restaurants and bars were not only delicious but also so incredibly designed and had such amazing ambiance and incredible staff. We’ve stayed at Garza Blanca in other locations, so we know how wonderful the experience is at a Tafer resort. The design, accommodations, and amenities are always spectacular, and the same is true of the new Cancun site. Keep in mind, there is still construction going on- it wasn’t significant enough to bother us.

Every single meal was consistently delicious- without a doubt, you will be impressed with the quality of food and drinks. There are currently 3 restaurants right on site- 2 more are in progress.

The cuisine

Here you can find everything you have ever dreamed of and many more!

There are 3 gourmet restaurants open at the moment of this article, and two more under construction.

The Blanca Blue restaurant is open all day and serves authentic Mexican dishes from different parts of Mexico.

The restaurant overlooks the sea, and nothing is more relaxing than enjoying some delicious Mexican food while listening to the sound of waves.

Breakfast is also served here, and you can choose from a long list of dishes, including yogurts, fish, pastries, fresh fruits, nuts, cold cuts, and hot food.

A la carte menu includes Mexican dishes like Aztec crepes and chilaquiles and various sauces, from sweet to spicy, that go perfectly with the food.

In the afternoon, their Michelin star restaurant opens its doors and awaits you with and impressive menu.

Here you will find everything from enchiladas to traditional mole; the food is incredibly delicious.

The ingredients for preparing the food are the best in the area, and you must taste every dish.

Street food lovers are also welcomed here as there is a food truck on the property serving a fantastic ceviche and all kind of light snacks for those who don’t want to eat at the restaurant every day.

Cocktails and snacks

The cocktail menu available is long, and you can find almost every cocktail you wish.

Mexican food like tacos, burgers, and salads are available at the bars near the pools, so you don’t have to leave the pool for lunch.

The main pool has a swim-up bar where you can enjoy a cocktail while perfecting your tan and enjoying the view.

At the moment, a second pool bar is under construction and when it is completed, new cocktails will be available.

When the resort is complete, guests will also enjoy a Chinese restaurant, an international food hall concept, a Japanese sushi outlet, and a delicious steakhouse.

For the moment, guests from Garza Blanca Resort Cancun can also enjoy the benefits available at the sibling Villas del Palmar, the next-door resort.

You can choose the all-inclusive plan or just for the room, but I strongly recommend you go for the all-inclusive one as it is totally worth it.

Activities 

Garza Blanca resort & spa Cancun is perfectly located, just 30 minutes drive from the international airport.

Right outside the resort, there is the pier from where depart most of the touristic excursions, including catamaran rides and other watersport activities.

The beautiful Isla Mujeres is located right across the resort, and ferries and boats often cross the waters in front of the hotel.

The Greg Norman-designed Playa Mujeres Golf Club is located close to the hotel.

All the guests of the hotel have their own private butler who can help you organize tours, golf reservations, restaurant bookings, and other activities available inside and close to the hotel.

For those interested in history, we recommend booking a trip to El Meco Mayan temple, a beautiful temple located a short drive from the hotel.

The kids club features an incredible interactive design with a nature and sea life theme.

There are available indoor and outdoor activities suitable for all ages.
