1.Rome

The first city which comes into my mind when speaking about Italy is Rome.

Rome is the capital of Italy and one of the oldest and most beautiful cities in Europe.

The city was founded during the Roman Empire, which was the capital for many many years.
Colosseum, Pantheon and dozens or arches spread all over the city are among the most important ancient ruins to visit when in Rome.

The Vatican Museum with the Sistine Chapel and its amazing Michelangelo painting, as well as St Peter’s Basilica, are among of the most important attractions from the city.

While in Rome, you should not miss these attractions plus Fontana di Trevi, the most famous fountain from the entire peninsula.

Where to sleep: Hotel Scenario Rome is our choice for Rome. This is a beautiful 4 stars hotel located right in the city centre, just a few minutes away from the main attractions.

Fontana di Trevi or Pantheon are the closest attractions to the hotel.
The hotel is new with modern interiors, a great sauna and fantastic coffee!

2.Milan

Italian richest city, Milan is located in the north part of the country.
Milan, one of the top cities in Italy to visit, is not just the financial pole of the country but it is also the world capital of fashion.

It is the best place to be if you are passionate about shopping! What I am talking about!? It is the best place in the world for shopping!

But besides shopping, Milan has many other interesting attractions! Here I would name the Duomo di Milano an impressive construction which began in 1386 and the last details were completed in 1965.

Where to sleep: When in Milan we slept at Hotel Spadari Al Duomo.
This is a 4-stars hotel located just 150 metres away from the Duomo di Milano and the main shopping area.

The hotel welcomes its guests with a very tasty American buffet-style for breakfast, modern rooms and very comfortable beds.

3.Venice

A unique city in Europe and one of the most romantic places in Europe, Venice is our choice when speaking about the best cities in Italy.

It is located in the northeastern part of the peninsula and attracts thousands of tourists annually.

It is the only big city in Europe where there are no roads and you cannot use a car to move around. The only way of moving is by water or by feet.

The most iconic places from Venice are the Doge’s Palace and the St Mark’s Cathedral both located in St Mark’s Square.

Take a gondola walk and explore the city by water. Pass by Rialto Bridge, one of the most beautiful bridges from the Grand Canal.

Where to sleep: Located in an old building right near St Mark’s Square, Hotel Dona Palace Venice is our choice for this romantic city.

Its Venetian style rooms overlooking the canals is the perfect place to spend your holiday. The decor, the atmosphere, everything about this hotel makes you feel like a doge in a palace.

4.Pisa, one of the top cities in Italy

Everybody heard about the Leaning tower from Italy! Well, that Leaning tower is in Pisa!
Pisa is a small and beautiful city located in the central part of the peninsula close to Florence, in the Tuscany region.

The town is full of history and culture, with welcoming locals and extremely tasty food!

Besides the Leaning Tower of Pisa, book some time and visit the Cathedral of Santa Maria Assunta, the Cathedral Museum and Palazzo Dei Cavalieri.

5.Verona

The place where Shakespear’s novel Romeo and Juliette was born, Verona is one of the most interesting cities in Italy.

Juliette’s balcony overlooking the interior garden is the main attraction of the city and a very instagramable place. So, don’t leave the city without taking a photo here!

Verona is also known for its historical buildings like Arena di Verona, Castle Vecchio, Basilica of San Zeno Maggiore.

All these monuments are from ancient and medieval times.
