Review: 98 Acres Resort and Spa in Ella, Sri Lanka

We chose 98 Acres Resort and Spa Sri Lanka for our overnight stay in Ella. We liked this hotel a lot because of its location. After a relaxing train trip from Nanu Oya to Ella we reached our accommodation.

Here you can experience Sri Lanka’s scenic serenity overlooking the tea plantation hills. The hotel has a unique design which blends well with nature, consisting of individual chalets mostly made of recyclable substance, which we consider a big plus for being environmental friendly

Location

Hidden between tea plantations, 98 Acres Resort and Spa is located right near Little Adam Peak, just outside Ella. It is easy to access by car from Ella Town or you can take a cab if you get here by train. The resort is only 2 km away from Ella junction and railway station, it is a 5 minutes by car.

Rooms

The rooms, the view and services were incredible! What a lovely resort! As welcome drinks we received a cup of tea with jaggery. Very tasty and authentic!

Inside the chalet, you find a large room with a comfortable double bed. The bed is facing the valley and just in front of your bed rises Little Adams Peak and the valley below it. It is such an amazing view to get up to.

At 98 Acres Resort and Spa Sri Lanka Ella Hotel we were accommodated in a superior room with a nice view over Little Adam Peak!

In the morning we’ve been woken up by the songs of birds! We rushed outside on our patio to enjoy the amazing view!

From our patio we saw a huge tea plantation full with women picking the green leaves and in the horizon Little Adam appeared!We stayed on the patio for a while and we didn’t realize how the time passed!

Facilities

We also liked that the 98 Acres Resort and Spa Sri Lanka is very clean and well maintained! It is also very well integrated in nature! On our way from the room to the restaurant we saw squirrels, birds and all kind of insects!

At 98 Acres Resort & Spa hotel we really felt in the middle of the nature!
Everything is so calm and relaxing!

We also enjoyed the hotel spa! A very nice Spa area is arranged inside the hotel! A massage in that relaxing atmosphere was the best think we had ever experienced!

Breakfast

Being located in the center of the resort, with a wonderful view over the tea plantation valley, 98 Acres Resort & Spa restaurant is accessible from all parts of the hotel. The food is tasty, fresh and we had enough options for breakfast and dinner!

We also had a dinner on resort’s restaurant. The resort is pretty isolated so there are no other options nearby. The restaurant menu is pretty varied and the food was tasty and fresh! The atmosphere from restaurant was calm and relaxing and the service was good.
